The foundation stone was laid as part of the Government of Kenya's initiative to construct public TVET institutions in every constituency to address the shortage of technical skill sets among young people.
Major structural engineering blocks, the mechanical workshops, computer labs, and office wings were completed. Specialized training machinery, sponsored by the government, was successfully installed.
KTVC officially received its registration certificate from TVETA and admitted its pioneer cohort of 120 students in Building Technology, Electrical Engineering, and ICT departments.
Student enrollment grew to over 1,987 students. Expanded course offerings to 35 courses, established partnerships with key institutions (NITA, HELB), and launched the online application and student portal.

Chairperson BOG
He holds a bachelor’s degree in theology and a master degree in leadership and administration. He had previously served as a pastor for North Eastern, part of Eastern region and Mombasa. His passion is empowering young people in order to improve their livelihood and improve infrastructure. He will use democratic principles in his leadership.
BOG Member - Representative for Leadership and Management
He works with Kisii University as a professor of microbiology carrying out teaching, mentoring and research. He had previously worked at the same institution as a senior administrator. He had previously worked at Egerton University and University of Cape Town, South Africa. His passion is quality standards in education, partnerships and resource mobilization.
BOG Member - Law/ICT Representative
He graduated from University of Nairobi in 1992 and was admitted to the bar in 1995. Works with Okongo and Wandago Advocates Company, Nairobi. His passion is farming and sponsoring needy children.
BOG Member - Technology Representative
She works at the National Council for Children’s Service the programme that aims at empowering and protecting the children. The department regulates all actors that work with children. She’s passionate about imparting positivity in our children and greening TVET.
BOG Member - Financial Management Representative
He works at Kisii University as an ICT Officer in charge of Training and Automation, He had previously worked at KPLC in Human Resource section. His passion was to see Kendege TVC grow to become a technical university.
